Cold Adapting tool

I have been dipping my face in ice water this week but I really have no idea what temperature the water is, nor do I know how cold I am really getting my skin. I saw this tool on Amazon today and went ahead and ordered it with prime. Hopefully it will arrive in time for the challenge to start but it probably won’t get here till Tuesday.

  1. I have one similar to this one, it seems to accurately portray the skin temperature because my husband used one of his thermometers that have a wire that comes out of it and he taped it to my face, and the temp on his tool and the temp gun were the same. The temperature of skin on my face rises instantly as soon as I remove my face from the water. I found if I keep the gun in my hand and when I’m ready to take my face out, turn it on, bring up my face, aim it, I can get a reading by looking up into the bathroom mirror. It’s kind of hard to do that immediately though as my eyes are still wet from dunking my face! I have seen the reading at 50°F. So I think I’m doing it right.

    • Good to know! I hadn’t thought about the difficulty in reading it while pointing it at my face.

  2. How well does your cold adapting tool working?

Thanks for your blog. You are simplifying Kruse’s information in a way that is easier to understand.

    • I’m glad you find it easy to understand. Thanks,

The tool is working well. It is a lot of fun to point it at things and check their temp too.
