Announcing My New Ebook: Broth: Elixir of Life
Well it has finally happened! Today is the day! After months of writing and setting up a business I am now ready to share with you my very first book. Broth: Elixir of Life. Some of you, of course, already have it. This book was included in a bundle of books that sold back in Late February and many of you took advantage of that opportunity. I have no plans to include it in another bundle any time soon so if you want it now, you need to buy it here.
If you are familiar with my blog or with the GAPS diet you know that broth is an important part of both. It turns out that broth is actually an important part of pretty much every traditional world cuisine. There are good reasons for this. Bone broth is easily made from the scraps of food that people might otherwise discard. Bones and connective tissue that are too tough to eat are integral ingredients in bone broth. It provides important nutrition that maintains and heals your digestive tract, joints, muscles and bones. It also contains many of the essential amino acids and so can be used as a “protein sparer”. It transforms a small portion of meat into enough protein to sustain many more people. Traditional peoples used broth every day in their cooking and you can too!
In this book I talk about the benefits of broth. I also talk about how to make it. I give you options that can fit every lifestyle. Broth can be made from parts of pretty much any animal. I include instructions for the normal, chicken and beef to the more exotic, fish, rabbit, and even shrimp. Then I have recipes that use that broth to make delicious dishes that your whole family will love. Broth is a super food that I want to get into my family every day. I know that some of you have children (or spouses) who are reluctant to take the plunge and eat things made with bone broth. That is why I have a whole chapter about sneaking broth into picky eaters. (Even if the picky eater is you!)
You also can’t miss the fantastic photos by my friend Jen Pagano. When I asked Jen to take a few photos of broth for me I knew that she did some part time photography, but I had no idea she had such a gift for photographing food! Who knew that a cup of broth could be so stunning! I’m still blown away by the beauty of these photos that she took.
I am very excited about sharing this book with you. I hope that it will inspire you to make broth a daily part of your diet. This one humble food holds the power to transform your health like no other food. Join me in taking back our health one cup at a time.
